Boyd is the newest member of our sales team, and has been learning Van Belle’s young plant business from the ground up – working with the crews picking, grading and caring for newly propagated plants. “I welcomed the challenge of working out in the nursery and getting my hands dirty. By handling the plants and being involved in the different stages of production, I can be a better connection back to the nursery for our customers, and that gets me excited!”

Boyd’s background is in customer service, purchasing and management. “I’ve been on both sides of a transaction,” says Boyd. “I know what I appreciated when I was a purchaser, and I look forward to using those experiences as I build relationships with our customers.”

Boyd and his wife, two sons and daughter live in nearby Chilliwack, BC.

My favorite VBN plant is “Quick Fire” Hydrangea from PW. It’s the first panicle hydrangea to bloom and I love the blend of pink and white on the large blooms.
