We are looking for an Account Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high performing Account Manager who has a passion for a role with diversity. We are seeking an individual who has strong sales skills, takes pride in providing superior customer service, enjoys working collaboratively with account buyers to create profitable new program ideas, and understands costing and financial statements.
Responsibilities:
- Build a superior relationship with customers and build on Van Belle’s positive marketplace reputation.
- Grow and close sales for assigned retail account(s).
- Assist New Product Development with the creation of new program ideas.
- Work collaboratively with the Van Belle sales and merchandising teams to ensure accounts are receiving the best possible products and service.
- Negotiate, plan and execute strategic programs and promotions with key decision makers.
- Present new opportunities and ideas
- Contribute as a committed member of the broader Van Belle team.
Experience:
- 5 + years of key account sales experience with big box retail clients
- Passion about horticulture and promoting our home and garden beautification products
- Experience in the retail channel with an understanding of the (target area ex Western Canadian) market
- Experience working with key decision makers
- Ability to communicate account and market knowledge internally, including competitive information.
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a winning team environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with Microsoft Docs
